The next 3rd Friday Breakfast meeting is on 17th July at the Watermark Innovation Centre in Ivybridge.

The guest speaker at July's 3rd Friday is Michael Seymour from Seymour Williams Associates who will be talking about How to Succeed in a Competitve Environment.

mike seymourKeen guitarist and motorcyclist, Michael Seymour has spent most of his career in the food and retail industry, spending 12 years with both Dairy Crest and Tesco.

As part of his time with Tesco, he became the real ‘Big Cheese’, flying around the world, eating cheese and negotiating with suppliers. In his latter role  within Tesco, he was responsible for setting up a buying office in the West Country, with the aim of sourcing local products from local suppliers for local Tesco stores – introducing 75 new companies to the Tesco supply chain.

Having left Tesco at Easter, Michael now runs his own business. His main objective is to help suppliers develop better trading relationships with retailers.

Michael will be covering:

  • How to respond to market changes
  • Identifying changing customer trends
  • Practical tools for marketing
